Help design a playsite in Bordon

East Hampshire District Council has secured funding from Play England and will be using it to provide a high quality play area for 8-13 year olds on the open space at the back of Apollo Drive .

Councillor Jenniffer Gray, cabinet member for Lifestyles & Community, said: "This is a very exciting opportunity for adults and children to make a real improvement for children in the area.

"They will be able to choose together how the site will look and what equipment will be there for children to use. I hope we get a good turnout as it is a real chance for people to have a direct influence on how we improve this site."

Cllr Ian Dowdle said: "It's fantastic to have this further improvement to our town, EHDC is doing a very good job co-ordinating this project."

There will be a large display of images of play equipment and we will be asking people to choose their favourites.

And to keep children, and everyone else, amused balloon modeller extraordinaire Lord Geoffery will be there, from 1.30pm until 4.30pm to make some excellent balloon models for children to take away.

The event is at the Forest Community Centre, Bordon, on Wednesday 18 Febuary from 1.30pm- 8pm.

Everyone is welcome to drop in at any time.
