Dance your way to fitness

People looking to get active and lose weight this New Year can dance their way to fitness with an exciting new exercise class in Medstead.

Body Moves will start on Tuesday 13th January at St Andrew's Church Hall in Medstead and is aimed at local people looking to get active in a fun, sociable and enjoyable way.

And residents can attend the first class for a reduced rate of just £2 per person.

Sheron Gillard, a local resident and fully qualified Keep Fit Association Instructor, and will be teaching the new class is excited about the new programme.

"Body Moves is a really fun way to get active," she said. "We will be using a range of music to dance and move to which will create an enjoyable and sociable class for all who attend."

Councillor Mrs Jennifer Gray, Community and Healthy Lifestyles Portfolio Holder at East Hampshire District Council is fully supportive of the new class and said: "I am extremely pleased to see the development of another new exercise class in a rural part of our district. We are trying very hard to increase physical activity participation levels across the district and the provision of exercise classes in local communities provides people with an opportunity to be active right on their doorsteps. I hope that local residents turn out in force to support this new class."

The class will take place on a Tuesday afternoon between 2pm to 3pm (please check dates and times prior to attending) at St Andrews' Church Hall, Wield Road, Medstead. Following the first class's reduced rate of £2 per person classes will be £5 per person per class or £20 for five weeks (five classes at £4).
