Red-nosed runners and riders raise cash for Comic Relief
Work up a healthy glow and get a red nose with East Hampshire Youth Council's fundraising fun run and bike ride for Comic Relief.
The event, being held at Alice Holt Forest, will see teams of energetic fundraisers completing a three mile cycle ride and then a 1.5 mile run.
As well as trying for the fastest time the teams will also be vying for prizes in a number of other fun categories including best team spirit, best fundraisers and best fancy dress.
The charity challenge is due to take place from 10am-1pm on Saturday 19 March. Participants can start any time but must complete the course by 1pm. Entry will cost £3 per person with teams being made up of three to five members.
The Youth Council hopes to get as many people along as possible to help raise money for charity and each person taking part will get a free goody bag and water.
After the challenge fundraisers can enjoy the other facilities that Alice Holt has to offer, such as the children’s play area, picnic areas and café. Bike and helmet hire are also available.
To register for the event, or for further information, please contact Lara Nolan, Youth Council Co-ordinator, by telephone on 01730 234186, or email lara.nolan@easthants.gov.uk.
