Return to Netball in Alton

Return to netball in Alton

Residents can get fit and make new friends with a new netball course run by East Hampshire District Council. The new introductory programme is aimed at players over 18 who have either never played before or who have not picked up a netball for many years.

The ten week course starts on Monday 21 February, 7pm – 8pm, at Alton College Sports Hall, and is an opportunity to learn new skills and brush up old ones. The course costs just £10 and is run by a qualified coach in a friendly setting.

“It does not matter if you have not played netball before,” said Councillor Jennifer Gray, Portfolio Holder for Lifestyles and Environment. “The programme is about either trying netball for the first time or getting back into the game after a long break, maybe since school. It is also a good way to meet new people who are also looking to get back into sport and to improve their general fitness.”
