Help develop Badminton
Badminton Youth Forum
What is a Badminton Youth Forum? The establishment of a Youth Forum will enable and empower young people to inform BADMINTON England of the needs, demands and issues of 16 -19 year olds, so that we may structure and shape the sport to attract their involvement, participation and importantly create more effective communication links.
The Youth Forum will consist of 10-15 young people (potentially 2/3 candidates per county) who will meet 2 - 3 times per year to help us determine, shape and implement initiatives for young people. Meetings will take place at a central location within the South East Region, with paid travel expenses paid.
The forum will have a specific focus on the retention of 16-19 year olds participating in badminton. The members of the forum itself will decide the best way to achieve this, giving the group ownership of their own project(s), whether this be coordinating consultation or running a large scale event. Who are we looking for? Roles and Responsibilities Members will be allocated roles and will support the development of a number of strands of work, including public relations, content development, sports coaching, partnership management and events delivery. Suggested roles are…. · Chairperson · Secretary · Treasurer · Sponsorship · PR and Marketing · Website design · Event Coordinator · Leadership and Volunteering · Club Support and Sustainable Exit Routes · Competition Benefits...
